SynopsisTrain Heartnet is the infamous gunman 'Black Cat', a cold-blooded assassin who works for the organization known as 'Chronos', bearing the mark XIII on his body. Most of his life was surrounded by violence, so Train is quiet, asocial and uncaring. However his life changes as he encounters the mysterious Sweeper (bounty hunter), Saya. Her unique way of living interested Train but tragedy occurs, resulting in Train changing the way he has lived towards the life of a Sweeper with newfound friends Sven and Eve.
ReviewContains comedy as well as the genres mentioned above. The personality of Train Heartnet changes quite a lot after the first few episodes. Gun action, swordsmanship and other forms of fighting present. A great anime. I�d rate it 8 out of 10

A funny little anime containing 23 episodes. It's good for those who like action scenes without the repetitiveness of it. However, it would be nice if the series was a little longer to really explain the plot in detail. The characters are different and interesting. I'd rate this anime 8 out of 10.. :)

Train Heartnet
Also known as Black Cat and the main protagonist in the story, he starts as a ruthless assassin but learns compassion from Saya Minatsuki. After his change of heart he works as a sweeper alongside Sven and Eve.
Creed Diskenth
Creed is the leader of the Apostles of the Stars, which seeks to make revolution, not only to overthrow Chronos, but change the world's leadership by "incompetent people". Back when Train was the XIII Chrono Number and Creed was an eraser, he admired him to the point of calling him "his partner", even though their relationship was far from close.
Saya Minatsuki
Saya appeared suddenly to Train on a rooftop one night, and the two of them shared a strange friendship that spanned only a few days. Still, those few days seemed to be enough to cause a change in Train. Saya influenced Train to do what he wanted to do and live freely, which causes Train to decide not to follow Chrono's orders anymore, as he leaves.
Sven Vollfied
Sven's outlook is much calmer and more logical than Train's; he often has to use his brain to win battles since he doesn't possess the Black Cat's pure physical power. He follows a strict "gentlemen's code", which often makes him seem older to other characters. The Forseeing Eye (under the eyepatch) allows him to glimpse into the future at the cost of great mental strain.
Eve
Eve is a genetically engineered bio-weapon and young girl from the manga (and anime) Black Cat. She uses nanotechnology to transform her body. At this point she can only change her arm, but she is supposed to be able to transform her body when she grows. She has to picture something to do it. Raised like a lab rat, Sven treats her like a real person and opens up her world.
Rinslet Walker
A world class thief also known as Rins who she works for everyone, from the government to mob bosses. She claims she can steal anything and manipulate any man. She sometimes works alongside Train and Sven. She always comes out with money in her pockets, regardless of how it might have gotten there.
