SynopsisKousuke Ueki, a student of the Hinokuni Junior High School, is picked by a God Candidate, Koba-sen, to participate in a competition where people battle out to become God and only the strongest will prevail. Embodied with the ability to turn garbage into trees, Kousuke will be joining in the battle against other junior high school students in this selection. This sets the premise for the earth-friendly battle where the students will pit their powers against the rest.

Kousuke Ueki
Ueki is in Class 1-C at Hinokuni Junior High School. 13 years old. Ueki is granted "the power to change trash into trees" by Kobayashi, Ueki's homeroom teacher. Ueki is a genuinely kind person who is always trying to help people out. He is a bit of a simpleton who constantly uses his ability against non-gifted, but that is because he just can't stand seeing these nasty folks defying his sense of justice

Rinko Jerrard
"The power to change beads into bombs."
She loves all animals. Coming from a rich family, people had pretended to be her friends so that she would buy them things. Rinko has a crush on Robert since he treated her as a real friend, and so she joined Robert's Ten.

Ai Mori
Ai Mori is one of Ueki's classmates at Hinokuni Junior High School.13 years old. She discovers Ueki’s power early on, coming to a rather unusual conclusion and at first believing him to be an alien. Upon learning of the competition Ueki is in, she decides to back him up, to keep him from losing all his talents and disappearing because of it. She is strict with Ueki at times, especially when he looks like he is about to do something rash.

Seiichirou Sano
The power to change towels into steel", provided he holds his breath, however as of late it now works as if it where voice activated, no longer does it show Sano holding his breath at all but rather giving out commands to the towels. Sano, a 9th grader at Inaho Junior High School.
